Group Dog Walks

Introduction

I invite prospective clients to join us on a group walk first to see how we all get on. This is a time for an informal chat and to watch your dog’s interaction with the group and recall skills. After this I come to your house for a free consultation meeting and the form-filling bit. Each new dog begins on a month’s trial to check that they’re happy, you’re happy, I’m happy and so are the pack.

Each group walk is at least one hour and I do two group walks a day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I am blessed with a loyal and small client base (I’ve been walking some of the pups for over 7 years!) Most of my dogs come on the same walks, on the same days each week but there is some flexibility due to holidays etc.

The Walk

I walk up to six (in accordance with Leeds regulations) well-socialised, friendly, dogs with good recall off-lead. I pick up the dogs in my fully crated van, attach one of my pet tags, and drive to our destination. The walk begins and ends on the lead for warm up/ cool down time and the dogs are let off when it is safe to do so.

Like people, each dog is different and I design the walks accordingly. Some dogs are exuberant and bouncy whist others like to potter and sniff every blade of grass! We are ALL friendly! We sometimes play with balls, splash about in the streams, chase through the heather and pose for photos. We also take time for plenty of sniffing, tasty treats, the occasional sit down and cuddles!

At the end of the walk the dogs have a drink, are showered off and towel-dried before our return journey. Your dog will have had a fantastic time so return home happy and tired giving you peace of mind. In fact, like me, you’ll probably wish you could join them!

I post daily photos online and leave a note in your doggy diary so that you feel part of their day too.
